Personal Code of Ethics
As a professional educator, I must assume
certain obligations to the
students, teachers, community, and administration of the district in
which I am employed. Realizing I am constantly on public display, I will
conduct myself only in the most prudent professional manner possible, in order
to reflect the integrity of the profession and the position.
Never will I allow
personal gain to rank above the great obligation of educating today’s youth.
Parents entrust their dearest possession to our charge, and each child must be
considered upon his/her own merit. I personally embrace the concept that
educators should be accountable for the effectiveness of the instructional
process, and that the primary responsibility rests with the leadership.
It is within my very
nature to manifest the utmost loyalty to the organization and my superiors.
Organizational policy will be strictly adhered to both in letter and in spirit,
with a high premium placed on harmonious relations throughout the staff. A
vital objective of my administration will be to encourage everyone with whom I
make contact to reach their full potential.
